Individual labor law

We deal with all practical labor law issues, particularly those relating to the profound changes in the world of work brought about by the use of IT in the workplace. This gives rise to numerous issues that need to be assessed from a legal perspective. These include topics such as the admissibility of processing usage data, whilst also taking data protection into account. The increasing use of artificial intelligence in the workplace is also raising new issues, such as the question of the permissibility and liability of using artificial intelligence in employment relationships and the rights to its results.

However, the use of IT in the workplace also has an impact on “traditional” labor law issues. The possibility of monitoring employees must be given special consideration in terms of permissibility.

Beyond the permissibility of the use of IT, the review of employment contracts is also part of our law firm's practice area. Of course, the preparation and support in the termination of employment relationships by way of dismissal or a termination agreement is also part of our work, which also includes procedural support in the context of dismissal protection lawsuits.

In addition to individual legal issues, further areas of responsibility arise in the context of collective labor law, in particular with regard to co-determination. This applies in particular to issues relating to the introduction of IT in the workplace and the works council's right of co-determination in this regard. This includes support in the drafting of a work agreement as well as legal support before and during the implementation of a conciliation committee.
